Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Technical Writer, based out of their Austin TX facility.
This company is a pioneer in the design and production uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for mission-critical operations worldwide.
Compensation: $70,000-80,000
What You Will Do:
- Primary responsibility is producing, updating and maintaining technical documentation (manuals, submittals, and product-related materials.)
- Will focus on organizing and formatting technical content using established templates and tools to ensure documentation is clear, accurate and consistent.
- Work closely w/engineering and service teams; support the development of documentation that meets both technical requirements and practical field use.
- Contribute to improving the clarity and usability of documentation for field service applications.
Education and Work Experience:
- At least 4 years Active Duty US Military experience required.
- Specialized training and/or experience with complex, industrial, or electrical technical writing.
- Must be familiar with electrical schematics and symbols, as well as basic document control procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with structured documentation or templates preferred.
- Proficient in desktop publishing.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, and working knowledge of SolidWorks (FrameMaker and Adobe Suite experience preferred.)
