This pivotal moment in HSL's history requires a CEO who models behavior aligned with HSL’s cultural values, inspires a shared vision, builds excellent teams, and fosters collaboration and trust.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic guidance and operational leadership for the entire HSL ecosystem. The future CEO will be responsible for leading HSL to financial success, ensuring HSL remains a premier destination for senior care in New England and beyond, and designing and implementing HSL’s strategy, which should encompass growth plans, programmatic offerings, systemwide initiatives, and academic and research endeavors.

Our ideal candidate will specifically possess:
  • Ten years of progressive leadership in healthcare, with at least five years in a senior-level executive role.
  • Proven experience gained in the Health Care Delivery System continuum.
  • Must have leadership experience gained in multi-site and matrixed organizations.
  • Must demonstrate a proven history of effectively leading a multifaceted and dynamic healthcare organization offering a wide range of services.
  • A visible and highly engaged leader with the ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate others to achieve common goals; the ability to gain trust, credibility, loyalty, and respect.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee transformational changes.
  • Strong business acumen; diplomatic and politically savvy, persuasive, and tactful.
  • Preferred experience and knowledge of highly regulated healthcare markets, similar to Massachusetts, as well as the ability to influence and collaborate with state officials and regulatory agencies.
