Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Operating Engineer for their location in the heart of Dallas TX.
Must have 5+ years experience as a Plant Operator, Operating Engineer, or similar role in a commercial environment.
Prior experience in large Commercial buildings (as well as experience with HVAC, chillers, overall facilities maintenance) highly preferred and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Compensation: $28.00-35.00/hr + OT available
Shift: 1st Shift – 7am-4pm, Tues-Sat (Off Sun & Mon)
What You Will Do:
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the building’s central plant and associated base building systems. This role is critical to daytime plant operations, preventative maintenance, system optimization, and tenant support, ensuring building reliability, energy efficiency, and superior service standards throughout occupied hours.
- Will operate, monitor and maintain central plant systems, including: Chillers, boilers, and cooling towers; Primary and secondary pumping systems; Heat exchangers and condenser water systems; Chemical treatment and water quality systems.
Education and Work Experience:
- 4+ years US Military experience required
- 5+ years of experience as a Plant Operator, Operating Engineer, or similar role in a commercial environment required.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience with central plant operations in large commercial buildings is strongly preferred.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office and CMMS platforms.
