Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Financial Controller.

Role Summary:
• Title: Financial Controller (Divisional Finance Lead)
• Team Structure: Reports directly to the CFO and partners closely with divisional operations leadership across multiple service lines
• Primary Scope: Full ownership of divisional P&L, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, invoicing oversight, and operational finance support
• Growth Opportunity: High-impact, business-facing role with full visibility into divisional performance and direct influence on operational and financial decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and manage the full P&L for a core business division, providing complete financial oversight and accountability
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with corporate reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including detailed variance analysis and performance insights
• Partner directly with operations leadership across multiple service lines (hydroblasting, tank cleaning, coatings, water treatment, soil remediation, pipeline, etc.) to drive financial performance
• Oversee invoicing processes and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely billing across projects and service lines
• Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, aligning financial targets with operational plans and field performance
• Monitor job-level and service line profitability, identifying cost drivers, margin improvement opportunities, and operational efficiencies
• Manage and mentor a distributed team of administrative/finance support staff responsible for data collection and reporting across multiple locations
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, reporting processes, and data integrity across the division
• Provide actionable insights to the CFO and leadership team to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Travel periodically to field locations to partner with on-site teams, build relationships, and ensure alignment across operations
• Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements to improve visibility and scalability as the business grows
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership or business-facing responsibilities
• Strong experience owning or supporting full P&L responsibility within industrial services, construction, environmental services, or project-based environments
• Proven ability to partner closely with operations and translate financial data into business insights
• Experience with billing/invoicing in project-based or service-driven environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience managing or influencing teams across multiple locations
• Highly analytical, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, field-driven organization
• Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally with operations and leadership
• ERP system experience required; experience improving reporting and processes is highly valued
• CPA strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary Range: $150k Base (flexible depending on experience)
• Bonus: 50% Target
