About the Opportunity
Mammoth Hospital is seeking an experienced, hands on CFO to join our leadership team during an important period of system growth and operational modernization. This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, working closely with operations, and shaping the financial future of a dynamic rural health organization.

Key Responsibilities (General Overview)
• Partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to understand organizational needs and ensure finance is fully embedded in day to day decision making.
• Support the hospital’s transition to a new financial and purchasing system, including helping managers learn new workflows and processes.
• Provide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, and overall fiscal management.
• Contribute to organization wide initiatives focused on quality, safety, standardization, and reducing waste.
• Participate in leadership or organizational improvement efforts, and long term financial planning.
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to ensure responsible growth and stability.

Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required
• Active CPA
• Minimum 3+ years of audit experience, ideally with healthcare exposure
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in hospital or health system finance (e.g., Controller, Director of Finance)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to lead in a hands on, detail oriented environment
• Willingness to relocate to Mono or Inyo County
Preferred
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience supporting financial system transitions or organizational change management
