Through aged care, community services, education and ministry, the organisation exists to help people flourish through services that are grounded in compassion, integrity, courage and faith. As Newcastle Anglican continues to evolve within increasingly complex and highly regulated service environments, an outstanding opportunity exists for an accomplished People & Culture executive to join the Executive Leadership Team and shape the future direction of one of the region's largest and most respected purpose-led organisations.

The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Director, People & Culture will be a key enterprise leader responsible for building the organisational capability, culture and workforce strategy needed to support Newcastle Anglican's future ambitions. Far more than a functional leadership role, this position offers the opportunity to influence organisation-wide strategy, lead significant transformation initiatives and drive long-term performance across a diverse portfolio of services.

  • Partner with the CEO, Bishop and Executive Team to shape organisational strategy and leadership capability.

The successful executive will bring the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organisation while building capability across its leadership teams. Working across aged care, community services, education and faith-based operations, they will play a pivotal role in ensuring Newcastle Anglican continues to attract, develop and retain the talent required to fulfil its mission and deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities it serves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a contemporary People & Culture strategy aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Drive leadership, culture and workforce transformation initiatives across the organisation.
  • Strengthen workforce governance, industrial relations and organisational capability.
  • Enhance organisational performance through modern people practices, systems and insights.

This appointment will suit an established executive who combines strategic vision with operational credibility and is energised by the opportunity to influence organisational outcomes through people, culture and leadership.
