A planned retirement has created the opportunity for an exceptionally qualified physician to become the next EMD of Women’s Health and a national search is underway. Operating in a Just Culture and Worthy Leadership model, this is a pivotal moment for a system-thinking, momentum-oriented, executive physician to lead a multidisciplinary service line already in motion, with the opportunity to share its next phase of growth, access, and regional influence.
The Executive Medical Director of Women’s Health will serve as the top-ranking physician across Women’s Health services, partnering closely with executive and clinical leaders to drive system engagement, cultural cohesion, and patient-centered innovation. Rochester Regional Health System, spans nearly 300 miles across New York State and serves both rural and urban communities; while the Women’s Health service line is relatively mature, the new, visionary and strategic EMD of Women’s Health will have the opportunity to shape, mold, expand and transform care delivery, educational offerings and research collaborations across this highly complex, matrixed health system. They will be accountable for clinical, operational, and financial performance across RRH. This is a role for a physician leader who thrives on influence, builds across disciplines, and leads by alignment and not mandate. They will be a strong advocate for both the patients and colleagues they lead. Community engagement and care delivery through a health equity lens are critically important.
The EMD will design, build, and guide clinical strategy, cultural alignment and service line integration across hospital and ambulatory settings within a dyad governance model. Reporting to the RRH Chief Clinical Officer and working in a dyad partnership with the Chief Administrative Officer for Women’s Health, the EMD will co-lead a multidisciplinary team of service line division heads and subspecialty champions – serving as the connective tissue between frontline teams, enterprise strategy and the communities RRH serves. The EMD will not operate in isolation; they will join a high-accountability peer group committed to clarity, excellence, and shared purpose. Rochester Regional Health is a system where leadership is present, visible, and aligned. The EMD of Women’s Health will be an important and respected voice by the C-Suite leadership team as Women’s Health is a key priority for the health system.

The salary range for this position is $600,000 - $800,000, annually.
