The Opportunity (Senior Vice President, Pharmacy): Guthrie is a growing system with a reputation for excellence in performance, service, innovation, and leadership with a strong commitment to equity and serving a broad range of communities. Guthrie seeks to hire the inaugural Senior Vice President, Pharmacy (SVP) to lead the development and execution of a vision and strategic growth plan for the pharmacy services organization. The SVP will provide transformational leadership while building a best-in-class, enterprise-wide Pharmacy services organization, enabling the development, innovation, and promotion of highly effective clinical, operational, financial, and patient-focused services.

Working with system leadership, the SVP will drive to elevate existing pharmacy services groups and build out new services to provide a comprehensive pharmacy program that is in line with Guthrie’s mission, vision, and values and helps achieve the overall goals of the organization. This role will require a visionary leader who will be responsible for the overall strategy, planning, development, implementation, and administrative leadership of the Guthrie pharmacy services team.

The first 12-to-18-month focus areas and success factors for the SVP will include the following:

-Bring innovation and creativity to the pharmacy organization, supporting Guthrie’s transformation and growth.

-Assess each pillar of pharmacy services including acute care, ambulatory, specialty, retail, 340B, infusion, residency program, and PBM to determine opportunities and priorities, building out a strategy to grow top practices, services, revenue and profitability. Demonstrate results in top priority areas such as specialty pharmacy and 340B.

-Define clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations across all levels of the team.

-Prioritize leadership development and succession planning, demonstrating strong leadership to guide and empower the team.

-Maintain strong day-to-day operations while building the future pharmacy services structure.
