The Military Division of Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a Shift Supervisor for their Scottsbluff NE production facility. This is an agricultural co-op that spans 135,000 base acres, a Grower-Owned organization with a long family history that has been passed down for the 100 years of the company’s existence.

* They are preferably seeking candidates with U.S. military experience. *
Experience / knowledge of Coal and Gas fired boilers with turbine powered electrical generation, grid and power distribution systems will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Compensation: $70,000-95,000 Base Salary
Shift Schedules: Rotating Days and Nights - 12hr Shifts
Only work 14 of every 28 days and you get 7 days off in a row after 28 days
Details: The schedule for the 12-hour shifts is set up for employees work 3-4 days on either days or nights and they have 1-4 days off in between shift turns. The shifts are either 8 am-8 pm or 8 pm-8 am. It is a 28-day schedule and once every 28 days the employees get 7 days off in a row.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for managing the shift and all direct reports. Ensures the smooth running of the production process and ensures that all products are produced to the right specifications. Ensures that all employees comply with the Company's Health and Safety procedures.
- Takes full responsibility of the shift in terms of management/training of staff, management of production and quality targets and ensure the smooth running of the production process
- Responsible for the quality produced during the shift and holds employees accountable for adhering to the companies quality systems, process and procedures
- Manages, develops, and motivates direct reporting staff
- Monitors, measures, and reports on production related process performance and general issues
- Ensures good communications is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
- Ensures that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the shift in line with the companies health and safety policy and procedures
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills are used to ensure that all employees can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems
- To work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effectively communicated
- Actively participates all continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure the best operating costs
Education and Work Experience
- 2-3 years of Supervisory experienced preferred, or demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with improvements in safety, productivity, and quality
- Experience using root cause analysis
- This facility is Heavy Industrial. Working knowledge of Coal and Gas fired boilers with turbine powered electrical generation, grid and power distribution systems is highly preferred!
