Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Senior Accountant.

Role Summary:
• Title: Senior Accountant
• Department: Finance/Accounting
• Reports To: Senior Corporate Accounting Manager
• Work Arrangement: In-office position with the opportunity to work from home one day during the final two weeks of the month after 90 days
• Primary Focus: Support corporate accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and financial reporting across a growing multi-entity environment

Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain a strong understanding of business operations, financial systems, and general ledger structure
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end close process
• Record intercompany transactions across multiple entities and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and review intercompany reconciliation reports for management review
• Collaborate with internal teams and operational groups to ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the financial statements
• Record assets and maintain the fixed asset module
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement best practices for intercompany reconciliations
• Conduct and support ad hoc finance and accounting requests as assigned
• Assist with bank reconciliations as needed
• Support accounting associates and help create a collaborative, team-oriented accounting environment
• Work closely with branches and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve accounting issues

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in a GL-focused accounting role
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with intercompany transactions required
• ERP or accounting software experience required
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across branches and internal teams
• Self-starter who can learn quickly, absorb information, and take ownership of responsibilities

• Experience with captive business insurance, self-funded medical insurance plans, and multi-state sales tax filings is a plus
• Candidates located in North or Northwest Houston may be best aligned based on the Woodlands office location

Compensation & Benefits:
• Target Base Compensation: $85K–$100K
