The Company
A well-established, NYSE listed global industrial manufacturer located in the greater Fairfield / Westchester County area is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Global Tax Compliance to lead its global tax compliance and reporting function. The company operates with a performance-driven culture built on integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to shape tax policy, oversee global compliance, and partner with senior executives to support ongoing growth and transformation. This is an in-office position.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President, Tax, this individual will oversee worldwide corporate tax compliance, provision, and planning activities. The Director will manage a capable tax team and collaborate closely with senior leadership, the wider finance organization, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead global tax compliance processes to ensure adherence with U.S. federal, state, and international tax regulations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual worldwide tax provisions under ASC 740, including related analyses and disclosures.
• Manage the preparation and filing of U.S. federal consolidated returns and state returns, including complex forms and international disclosures.
• Oversee the implementation and ongoing compliance related to global tax reform measures (e.g., BEPS Pillar 2).
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls for the tax provision process and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in tax law and communicate their potential impact to senior management in a clear, actionable way.
• Support tax planning, research, ruling requests, refund claims, audits, and administrative appeals.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and represent the company with federal and state tax authorities.
• Develop, lead, and mentor the global tax compliance team to maintain a high-performance culture.

Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or advanced tax degree strongly preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive corporate tax experience, ideally with significant exposure to multinational operations and manufacturing.
• Expertise in U.S. federal and international tax compliance, tax accounting (ASC 740), and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax issues end-to-end, with strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the confidence and executive presence to partner with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters OneSource or similar tax compliance software is preferred.
