Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Senior Accountant.

Role Summary:
• Title: Senior Accountant
• Reports to: Corporate Accounting Leadership
• Location: Houston, TX (Galleria area)
• Work Arrangement: Fully in-office Potential for 1 day work from home
• Primary Focus: Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and analytical review activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly accruals for U.S. and Canadian operations
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, depreciation, additions, and disposals
• Prepare and reconcile corporate credit card activity and related journal entries
• Reconcile intercompany accounts, including domestic and cross-border transactions
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and account reviews to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies
• Evaluate financial results and underlying transactions using sound accounting judgment and analytical thinking
• Proactively communicate accounting issues, risks, and process improvement opportunities to management
• Allocate consolidated vendor invoices to appropriate departments and cost centers
• Support annual external audit activities and provide required documentation
• Assist with month-end close processes and ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP
• Contribute to process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Public company accounting experience strongly preferred
• Candidates with 2+ years of public accounting experience will also be considered
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large volumes of data
• Experience working within tight deadlines and structured reporting environments
• Strong analytical and forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify issues and provide solutions
• Naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions to gain deeper understanding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with multi-currency accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions is a plus
• ERP experience preferred; Sage MAS 500 experience is a plus
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ownership mentality

Compensation & Benefits:
• Target Base Compensation: $85k–$100k
• Annual 10% target Bonus Opportunity
