Korn Ferry is pleased to partner with On Lok to lead the search for their next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). On Lok is a national recognized nonprofit organization in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides comprehensive healthcare and support services to help seniors age with dignity and independence. It is best known for pioneering the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model, which offers a full range of services including medical care, meals, transportation, and home care. On Lok also operates senior centers, offers community programs, and provides technical assistance to other organizations starting PACE programs. Their integrated platform includes PACE programming, comprehensive social services, affordable housing initiatives (including a HUD property), and innovative healthcare delivery models. They are committed to serving vulnerable senior populations while maintaining financial excellence and sustainable growth.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic and operational financial leader for On Lok’s multi-entity structure during a pivotal moment of organizational transformation and growth. The CFO will balance disciplined financial stewardship with entrepreneurial vision as the organization modernizes its infrastructure, scales programs, and explores strategic growth opportunities. As part of the Executive Management Team (EMT), this leader will rebuild financial rigor, strengthen forecasting and operating metrics, and serve as a unifying partner while reestablishing trust with the EMT and the Board.

Experience and Professional Qualifications
•  Minimum 10 years in progressive financial leadership roles; prior CFO experience required.
•  Experience operating in risk-bearing, capitated, managed care, or Medicare/Medi-Cal environments.
•  Expertise leading financial modernization in multi-entity corporate structures.
•  Proven success in high-growth organizations and navigating major inflection points.
•  Experience with affordable housing finance, HUD compliance, or community facility development.
•  Demonstrated achievement leading M&A, partnerships, or major strategic expansions.
•  The ability to operate at similar scale and complexity required.
•  Strong investment management and portfolio oversight background.
•  Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and complex capital structures.
•  Experience with bond financing, debt structuring, and capital project planning.
•  Knowledge of nonprofit tax regulations and compliance requirements.
•  Successful track record working with boards of directors.
•  Strong ability to present and communicate complex financial data and concepts with clarity, transparency, and humility.
•  Experience building accountable, high-performing teams during periods of transition or growth.
•  Demonstrated success leading organizational change while strengthening trust and collaboration.
•  CPA strongly preferred; alternatively, a demonstrably strong financial accounting and controllership foundation with deep balance sheet expertise.
•  Detail oriented, demonstrated success with financial strategy, decision support, and financial modeling and analytics within a complex healthcare delivery system.
•  Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, revenue cycle, supply chain, and reimbursement.
•  Experience with payor contracts and contracting strategy .
•  Demonstrated strategic thinker who is visionary, innovative, creative, and willing to take appropriate risks.
•  Successful track record of building consensus while making and implementing decisions critical to organizational interests, including the ability to appropriately challenge and influence.
•  Community-centric lens and commitment to cultivate external partnerships across diverse community stakeholders.

Education
•  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
•  Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related) strongly preferred
