Capital Cardiology Associates, the premier Cardiology Practice of the Capital Region of New York state and a founding member of the Cardiovascular Logistics platform, is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance to oversee and help direct the financial health of the practice and to work with the senior management team to establish and execute long term strategic goals. The Vice President of Finance will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support long-term organizational goals, while also identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership:
o Provide financial oversight and direction, aligning financial goals with the organization’s mission and growth strategy.
o Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure accurate and sustainable financial operations.
o Monitor financial performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Operational Excellence:
o Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure seamless integration of financial and operational strategies.
o Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, coding, collections, and payer contract negotiations.
o Ensure financial compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Strategic Planning:
o Support identifying and evaluating new market opportunities and service expansions.
o Develop and execute long-term financial plans to support practice growth, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
o Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, healthcare providers, insurers, and financial institutions.
o Present financial updates and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and leadership team.
o Ensure adherence to healthcare financial regulations, including HIPAA and other compliance standards.
o Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the practice’s financial and operational integrity.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
o Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) required
o Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
Experience:
o At least 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5 years in a healthcare organization or medical practice.
o Strong expertise in financial planning, revenue cycle management, and healthcare compliance.
o Experience in cardiology or a similar clinical specialty is preferred.
Skills:
o Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while driving financial and operational performance.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging data to drive decisions.
o In-depth knowledge of healthcare finance, including billing, coding, and payer relations.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Competitive salary with performance-based incentives and long term incentives. Base pay is in the 200K range plus a 40K bonus potential.
