Join a small, high‑trust legal team where you’ll be the General Counsel’s right hand at a mission-driven nonprofit real estate developer focused on affordable housing throughout the West Coast. As a Paralegal, you’ll strengthen corporate governance, streamline document systems, and support real‑estate transactions that advance a meaningful social mission. This is an excellent fit for a highly organized, corporate paralegal who wants breadth, responsibility, and growth.

What you’ll do
Corporate governance & entity management
  • Draft, proof, and maintain board minutes, resolutions, written consents, agendas, and annual calendars.
  • Support entity formations/registrations, EIN applications, DBAs, annual/biennial filings, and registered agent updates.

Contracts & correspondence
  • Draft and edit simple form agreements and letters like NDAs.

Real‑estate transaction support
  • Prepare and coordinate closing checklists, certificates, resolutions/consents, signature packets, estoppels, and title/escrow deliverables.
  • Assemble closing binders, maintain diligence rooms, and liaise with outside counsel, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.

Organization & systems
  • Assist in the re‑organization of legal documents and workflows: taxonomy, naming conventions, retention schedules, and searchability.
  • Implement templates and playbooks, improve intake/ticketing, champion best practices.

Risk, confidentiality & cross‑functional support
  • Handle confidential information with care, support risk management and occasional HR‑related matters.
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and pitch in where needed.

What you’ll bring
  • 2+ years of corporate paralegal experience; in‑house background strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of board processes, minutes, resolutions, and corporate maintenance.
  • Experience supporting real‑estate closings (checklists, signatures, title/escrow coordination, closing sets).
  • Builder mindset: highly organized, systems‑oriented, and energized by fixing taxonomies and workflows.
  • Growth orientation: eager to learn, assume increasing responsibility, and contribute beyond a narrow job box.
  • California Notary commission preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

Why you’ll love it

  • Mission with impact to address the housing crisis across the West Coast.
  • Supportive, team‑first manager who invests in training, offers flexibility, and protects the team’s focus.
  • Ownership & growth: meaningful responsibility quickly; help build processes that last.
  • Flexibility: hybrid schedule with flexible hours to ease commuting.

Pay, work model, and eligibility

  • Salary range: $100,000–$120,000 base, plus 10% target bonus; actual pay depends on skills, experience, and location.
  • Schedule: Full-time M-F, flexible start options available (ex 9-5 or 7:30–3:30).
  • Work model: Hybrid — 2-3 days/week onsite in Los Angeles (Sherman Oaks) or San Francisco.
