The Opportunity
The Head of People Services will serve as an integral member of the senior management team and provide oversight and leadership for the Human Resources team. The Head of People services is responsible for leading enterprise-wide human capital strategy and ensures workforce readiness, regulatory compliance, clinical and non-clinical talent sustainability, and organizational resilience while aligning people strategy with patient care quality, safety, and community mission.
In order to fulfil AMC’s mission and vision, this position will lead efforts to ensure AMC’s organizational development and human resources function effectively and efficiently within AMC’s values. The goal of these efforts is to make AMC a workplace of choice where employees are supported and enabled to perform at their best, support other colleagues in their role and career journey and to provide employee recognition for achieving goals and success. As a member of the senior management team, this position is expected to effectively engage and partner with all other departments at AMC.
The Head of People Services will be responsible for improving the day-to-day operations of the HR function. Key areas of opportunity include technology and automation, processes and systems, and empowering the HR team to better serve employees.
Ideal Candidate
• 7 to 10 years of experience in organizational development and/or human resource management.
• HRIS system experience.
• Knowledge of ADP, PeopleSoft or other HRIS and payroll software systems and success implementing and educating staff on new programs.
• Proven leadership and development of a human resources team and ability to create a culture of inclusion.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to link training and development programs to business needs and staff development needs with measurable impact on organizational goals.
• Ability to manage, design and implement organizational development programs and human resource services.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Master’s degree a plus (Business, Human Resources, Management, or related field of study).
